Rethink the Runway Weekly Recap 04.28.2025
A Week to Remember: Fashion, Community & Creative Sparks
Hi Rethink the Runway Community! 🌿 This is Mira Musank. My apologies for sending this week's recap later than usual — we needed extra time to gather pictures from our week-long events. Consider this a teaser; we'll be creating more in-depth recaps for each event in the coming weeks. For now, enjoy this overview! From immersive exhibitions to a night of celebration (and a spotlight on Eden!), here's what went down at Rethink the Runway last week.
Last week was one of those weeks that fills you up. Full calendars, full hearts, and a whole lot of creativity in the air.
We kicked things off with the opening of Threads of Change — our sustainable fashion exhibition at Humanmade SF, created as part of SF Climate Week 2025 and supported by Pinterest. After two days of intense setup, We welcomed curious minds and conscious hearts into a space that celebrated slow fashion, circular design, and regenerative materials from Monday, April 21st to Friday, April 25th.
From unspun’s zero-waste denim to the poetic upcycling by Fafafoom Studio, every corner of the exhibition was buzzing with ideas, textures, and purpose.

Each day, we hosted guided tours (shoutout to everyone who came at 4, 5, and 6PM!) and got to witness some incredible conversations bloom between designers, visitors, and fellow sustainability enthusiasts. It wasn’t just about what you saw — it was about what you felt. Hopeful. Connected. Inspired.
Then came Thursday — our Threads of Change Reception. A beautiful evening that brought the community together in the best way. With music, drinks, and stories shared in light-filled makerspace, we celebrated the artists behind the installation and opened the floor to thoughtful dialogue during our panel on the future of sustainable fashion. We met new friends, reconnected with old ones, and left with full notebooks and even fuller hearts.

But that’s not all. We also hosted a sold-out Fashion Drawing Workshop with the one and only Zoe Hong at Pinterest HQ. Let’s just say — if you were in that room, you know the energy was something special. Pens moved quickly, eyes focused, and Zoe’s voice guided us through the intersection of fashion and storytelling with so much clarity and kindness.

And finally — we had the joy of putting the spotlight on someone very special from our team: Eden Faulkner, our talented Graphic Designer. Eden is the quiet magic behind so many of our visuals — thoughtful, values-first, and always intentional.
Her vision of fashion as a form of self-expression, rooted in care for people and the planet, is one that deeply aligns with everything we believe in at RTR. You might’ve seen her words floating around our channels this week, but in case you missed it: Eden, we’re lucky to have you. 💚
So yes, we had a jam-packed week! But it was the kind of busy that leaves you excited for what’s next. To everyone who joined us, supported us, and made this week so meaningful: thank you. Let’s keep reimagining what fashion can be, together.
Until next time,
